Learning to recognize, express and manage their own emotions and those of others is vital to a child’s development. This box contains three different activities that work on children’s emotional spheres: learning about the physical characteristics of facial expressions of the emotions of joy, anger, fear, sadness, surprise, disgust or shame; recognition of their emotional meaning, associating each expression with an emotional experience; identification of the methods that can be used to contain or manage said emotion. The contents also include a poster on which children can write out descriptions of their own emotions.
